Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy: What to Expect
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, or HBOT, sounds high-tech, and the science behind it is genuinely interesting. The experience itself, though, is calm and simple. Here is what to expect from a hyperbaric session at Health Hax.
The basic idea
HBOT broadly means breathing oxygen in a pressurized environment. Health Hax uses an OxyCell mild chamber for a general wellness session. Its pressure and intended use differ from hospital-based HBOT prescribed for specific medical conditions, and we do not present the mild chamber as a treatment for disease.
What a session feels like
You settle in, the pressure adjusts slowly, and then you relax for the duration. Many people read, listen to something, or simply rest. The most common feedback we get is that it is more soothing than they expected. A coordinator is nearby the entire time and explains each step before it happens.
Why people use it
Most members come to hyperbaric oxygen curious about recovery and overall wellbeing. As with everything we do, we frame it honestly: it is one supportive piece of a routine, not a magic fix. It pairs naturally with PEMF or a red light session on the same visit.
Want to feel it for yourself? Book a first session and a coordinator will take it from there.
